Dallas is a vibrant and diverse city known for its world-class museums, thriving arts scene, and home to the world famous Dallas Cowboys. The City of Dallas is part of the largest metropolitan area in the southern United States and it is the largest inland metropolitan area in the US without a navigable link to the sea. The City of Dallas is the county seat of Dallas County with some portions of the city extending into Collin, Denton, Kaufman and Rockwall counties.
